Bassoon instructor at the University of Michigan-Flint, Mott Community College, Cranbrook schools and the Flint School of Performing Arts. Dean is the second bassoon player and contrabassoon player for the Flint Symphony Orchestra and the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra. Also, he is the third bassoon and contrabassoon player for the Oakland Symphony Orchestra. He has also been principal bassoon for the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and has been on tour with the Mantovani Orchestra. Dean has also performed with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra many other orchestras in Michigan. He has a Bachelors of Music and a Masters of Music in bassoon performance from the University of Michigan.
