Katie Farah is currently a member of the viola sections of the Flint and Midland symphonies. She has been an active freelance musician performing will many ensembles across Michigan and Ohio including the Lansing Symphony, Southern Great Lakes Symphony, West Michigan Symphony, Traverse City Symphony and Ohio Light Opera. Previously, she has held Principal Viola positions with the Battle Creek and Rochester (MI) Symphonies.
Katie holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Viola Performance from Michigan State University where she studied with Robert Dan.
Katie maintains a private teaching studio at the Flint School of Performing Arts where she teaches violin and viola. In her spare time she enjoys practicing yoga.
